Tenant Profile: Rich, Little Leeds Beerhouse

What do you do here at the Corn Exchange?

I run Little Leeds Beerhouse with my wife Bryony.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I am a real Beer, Food & Wine junkie, always looking for something new to get stuck into. I also enjoy starting books, but rarely finishing them.

What is your history with the building?

We have had LLBH for pretty much 3 years now, and it’s amazing to be at the heart of such a historic building built on independent trade.

What is your favourite thing about working at the Corn Exchange?

The architecture is absolutely stunning, and helps us create a calming and welcoming environment at LLBH… There’s also loads of other great businesses here, operated by passionate people doing what they love – and that creates a sense of community. We all want the Corn Exchange to be a great hub for independents.

Tell us about your best day out in Leeds. Where do you go? What do you do?

I can wager that this would be pretty similar to Bryony’s! I’d definitely start with coffee and breakfast at Laynes Espresso – a morning without coffee from Laynes is a rare thing! Maybe a lunchtime Pint at Friends Of Ham, then I’d head off to Headingley for the day to watch some cricket before coming back into town and hitting up Bundobust & Whitelocks for a few drinks. Dinner would have to be at The Reliance, it has been the best place to eat in Leeds ever since I moved here nearly 5 years ago – great seasonal food, friendly service and top notch wine.
